A 5000-mile road trip through some of the
highest points of the Eastern United States, July 12-24, 1998
RIDE HOME
The Franklin rock show was that weekend, but time was tight so we hit a diner then the road. This was the beginning of the last leg of our trip. We were bragging to one another about how great the trip was and what a great time we had. However we did the trip without being on interstates was worthwhile. However we did the trip without freakin' about keeping to a schedule or trying to catch our favorite TVs doesn't really matter. We did it, we enjoyed it and we are better now that we have done it. Eating at non-chain and chatting with folks wherever we went provided the true American experience and at what better age to take on such a trip.
The long drive back to Tallahassee went quick as we broke it up near Columbus, Georgia to take in some sights. The remaining leg allowed us to reminisce and chat were the next chapter of our lives will take us. I dropped Ryan off and we said our good byes. I drove the last 2 hours home to the waiting arms of Jennifer.
